Thankyou Phil & Sue Leybourne

The Lancashire Team had an excellent turn out at the recent Inter Counties competition, but a special thank you goes out to the Team manger Brian Craig for his sterling work in selecting the teams and contacting the athletes and to Phil Laybourne and his wife Sue who did a brilliant job organising all the Athletes into the events on the day.

About the Association

Lancashire Athletic Association is the official body charged with organising and managing all County competitions in the various athletic disciplines.

The Association selects representative teams in regional and national competitions. In particular there is county selection for the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships, the Northern Inter Counties and the National Inter Counties Track & Field Championships together with major inter county road and fell races.

Officers are elected at the Annual General Meeting held on the second Thursday each September at Cottam Village Hall, near Preston commencing at 7.30 p.m.
Committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the following months: February, April, June, August, October and December, from 7 -9 pm at Cottam Village Hall, near Preston.

The Les Rogerson Memorial Trophy

President Alan Seddon hands over to Alison Leonard Blackburn Harriers the Les Rogerson Memorial Trophy for 2006 - 2007 at the AGM of the Lancashire Athletic Association on the 12th September 2007 in recognition of her outstanding track performances this season including a silver medal in the World Youth Games whilst representing Great Britain.
