The Lancashire Athletic Association is the official body charged with managing County competitions in the various athletic disciplines and the Association selects teams to represent the County at Inter County events in Cross-Country, Track and Field, Fell and Road Running.

The Association is managed by a committee which is elected annually by the affiliated athletic clubs of Lancashire

Les Rogerson Trophy

The winner of the 2015 Les Rogerson Trophy is Sophie Hitchon from Blackburn Harriers. The picture below was taken at this year’s  world championships in Beijing where Sophie finished fourth breaking the UK record twice during the competition.

Sophie’s dad Mick accepted the award on her behalf at the recent Lancashire Athletic Association’s AGM. Pictured below, Mick (left) is presented with the award by Lancashire president Stan Taylor.  

Lancashire 5 mile Road Championship

The Lancashire 5 mile road championship is incorporated within the Green Drive 5 mile race on Sunday 18th October 2015. Entries can be made by post or on-line. Link to entry details here .
